Milk Kan

27 Jul

Milk Kan are an awesome quartet from London that have a sound that reminds me of The Streets covering Dylan’s ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’. Their music is a mish mash of hip hop, bluegrass, funk and King Blues-esqe punk all mixed together in a melting pot made of fried gold.

They made a name for themselves by undertaking a whole host of impromptu gigs on tubes and night buses in London Town and some wonderful people at the BBC have already been holding them proudly aloft with various live session offers on the table – including one at this year’s T In The Park festival. I’m sure there will be many more supporters of these guys in the future.

Their songs are lyrically brilliant and so unbelievably catchy. Check them out, I’m sure you will love them just as much as I!

Any band that includes Space Raiders in their tunes is worthy of my attention… Space Raiders are fucking great aren’t they? As are Milk Kan.
